Terms of use

Plain terms for the Loudly private preview.

The preview

Loudly is a private preview. It can change, break or be withdrawn at any time, and it comes without a warranty of any kind. Do not rely on it as the only copy of something important.

Your recordings and your responsibility

You decide what to record. Loudly starts recording when you press Record and does not ask the other people in a meeting for consent. You are responsible for telling them and for following the laws and workplace rules that apply to recording and transcribing conversations where you and they are.

Your recordings, transcripts and notes are yours. They stay on your Mac. See the privacy policy for the cases where text goes to a provider you choose.

Notes can be wrong

Transcripts and summaries are produced by speech and language models and can contain mistakes. Check anything that matters before acting on it.

Third-party services

If you connect Google Calendar or add an API key for OpenRouter, OpenAI or Anthropic, those services are governed by their own terms, and you are responsible for your account and any charges with them.

Acceptable use

Do not use Loudly to break the law, to record people in places where recording is prohibited, or to reverse engineer or redistribute the app outside of what the law allows.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Loudly is provided as is, and its makers are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from its use.
